Motivation Letter Business Analyst
A good motivation letter for Business Analyst connects a concrete personal experience with what the position actually requires - not a summary of the CV. Structure: salutation, a concrete reference to the position or company, a substantiated example from your own experience, an honest closing.
Example
Dear Mr. Wyss As an intern in organizational development at CSS, I spent six months gathering requirements for a new document management system - fourteen interviews across three departments, which ultimately resulted in 62 user stories. The hardest part was not the gathering itself, but the prioritization once it became clear that not every wish could fit into the first release. Your position appeals to me because you don't place business analysis in a project office, but directly within the business departments. That is exactly where requirements worth having actually emerge. I speak French at B2 level and would like to keep developing it in daily work. I am available for a conversation at any time. Kind regards
Common Mistakes
- Phrases like 'interface between business and IT' without a single example of it
- The applicant's own contribution stays unclear because only the project is described
- French language skills are missing or overstated - insurers check this
- No indication of how large the supported stakeholder groups were
